With the year halfway through, Xbox is looking to add some far out titles to Game Pass including Assassin’s Creed Origin. But Ubisoft’s open world action adventure won’t be alone when it comes to agile protagonists taking up residence in the massive, ever-changing library of Microsoft’s games subscription service.
Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is a compilation of three games from the Ninja Gaiden series that also come with all DLCs and game modes. Ryu Hayabusa’s story is a heart pounding slasher that’s set in the same universe as the Dead or Alive fighting game series. If you’re looking for a game that’s quite the challenge, this series should not disappoint.
If you’re looking for something that has multiplayer PVP, For Honor is the swordfight you might just be looking for. While the game has been on the service before, this time the game’s Marching Fire Edition has been added, which adds the Wu Lin faction to its launch roster of Knights, Vikings and Samurai. Each boast a unique fighting style to master as well as a campaign story about how and why these warriors come to cross swords.
As for Assassin’s Creed, well players are in luck because the version of the game coming to Game Pass is one that’s been enhanced with FPS Boost, allowing the game to run at a butter smooth 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Origins is a great place for newcomers to start in the franchise, as it overhauls and redesigns Assassin’s Creed and it’s an amazing journey into ancient Egypt.
Lastly, Spacelines from the Far Out is a rogue-like co-op management game that looks like a cross between Overcooked and FTL. The cutesy art looks like it hides tight gameplay mechanics as well as some shenanigans to be had.
