Starfield revealed itself at last at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Conference. As the countdown to the conference ended, Bethesda Game Studios’ creative director Todd Howard appeared to deliver a first look trailer at “an adventure 25 years in the making.”
Gameplay was not the focus of this reveal, but a mood teaser that gave us a glimpse of the new world that the studio is working on: one that appears to be an alternate history where space travel has made great advances, but with a more retro-tech look inspired by the mid-20th century aesthetics of the original space programs of our world.
Bethesda has already opened up a teaser site today to provide some information about the game. The teaser ended with preparations for takeoff and on one of the counters, a series of numbers: 11-11-22.
That’s right, Starfield revealed its launch date and it’s confirmed to be on November 11, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10 PCs. It will also be available for Xbox Game Pass.
