Somerville will deliver sci-fi drama as a day one launch on Game Pass

Another game is coming to Game Pass as a day one launch, and it’s Somerville the upcoming sci-fi drama adventure by Guildford-based indie studio Jumpship. Somerville will arrive for Xbox consoles and on the Game Pass subscription service on November 15, 2022.

Jumpship is an independent studio founded by film animator Chris Olsen, in collaboration with Dino Patti, the co-founder and former CEO of Playdead; the studio that worked on Limbo and Inside, two other games with nearly similar storytelling techniques as Somerville. Dino Patti, worked on both games prior to Somerville where he worked as the Executive Producer.

Fans of both Limbo and Inside should look forward to Somerville, mainly due to the playstyle and storytelling techniques the game uses. The minimal dialogue means the game reaches out to nearly all audiences without the problem of language barriers. But if we’re just talking about my preferences, I just like short indie puzzle games that don’t take up too much time to get into. So I am definitely looking forward to this; gotta save that dog!
