Just in time for her Disney+ show, which premieres today, Ms. Marvel is getting an outfit in Marvel’s Avengers that’s inspired by her appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Crystal Dynamics’ superhero brawler, Marvel’s Avengers, is the closest thing you can get to playing as one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes; and each member of the Avengers sports a number of cosmetic skins, called Outfits, for purchase and sometimes rarely, for free or as part of the game’s Shipments system.
Recently, Ms. Marvel has been getting quite a bit of love in the cosmetics department. Last April, Crystal Dynamics gave away a free Outfit for her to celebrate the end of Ramadan, as she happens to be the premiere Muslim superhero in the Marvel universe. A nice looking Kree Nanotech Suit was also added to the Marketplace last week.
Marvel’s Avengers initially did not launch with MCU Outfits, likely in an attempt to distance itself from the internationally beloved film franchise, but seeing as how it’s the most requested feature, Crystal Dynamics has since added several outfits to the game. Now there’s a large amount of Outfits from films like Infinity War, Endgame, Thor Ragnarok and Black Widow. Plenty of comic book inspired costumes have been added too, like Thor’s Asgardian Destroyer Outfit and The Hulk’s Joe Fixit Outfit.
Kamala Khan’s new outfit is directly pulled from the upcoming Ms. Marvel Disney+ series, featuring some of the lined patterns that typify most MCU costumes. The series adapts the origins of Kamala, played by newcomer Iman Vellani, a teenage Avengers fan who gains superpowers. While Ms. Marvel eventually adopts a comic-accurate suit, she wears a homemade outfit for the initial part of the show.
