Hitman 3 devs outline Year 2 plans for the game

Hitman Game Pass

Hitman 3 developer IO Interactive recently released a short vid thanking fans for their support as well as outlining their Year 2 plans for the game.

Earlier this year, Hitman 3 broke sales records for the studio and in the wake of that success CEO Hakan B. Abrak said the game has now hit 50 million players making it the most successful Hitman game so far. The game’s success has ensured a second year worth of updates and content in the form of ray-tracing on PC, plans for VR and the Elusive Target Arcade and more.

IO Interactive will also be working on new maps, new storylines, new modes, new ways of playing and, with the promise of new surprises, more for Hitman 3, though they did not elaborate on details.

Hitman 3 Year 2

I’m sure fans of Hitman 3 will be very well pleased to know they can be Agent 47 on the VR update next year but what’s gotten me curious and interested is the Elusive Target Arcade. I mean, what the hell is it even going to be? Not only that, Hakan also ends the video with an allusion to a surprise for the fans of something they’ve been asking for.

Lastly, Hitman 3 is getting the option to have ray-tracing. If you’re not sure what that means, the basic gist is that it makes things look better. Can’t wait to see that for sure, as plenty of games are made extra gorgeous by ray-tracing and seeing that in Hitman would fit so well.

And that’s it, these Year 2 updates for Hitman 3 are slated to begin next year with PC VR and Elusive Target Arcade in January. Again making the first quarter of next year as busy as ever with a lot of video game updates and releases piling up.

Hitman 3 launched on January 20, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and is available for purchase at the Microsoft Store.
