Destiny 2 is getting spooky for the Halloween season with their annual Festival of the Lost event! The yearly Halloween event in Destiny 2 is now live with some fancy new Mecha inspired armor sets and the return of the spooky Haunted Lost Sectors.
Festival of the Lost will run from October 18 to November 8, and it is one of the most awaited yearly events in Destiny 2, with this one in particular going deep into the Halloween theme. The armor sets sold at the Eververse store during the event are mostly themed around costumes and spooky stuff alike, but for this year we’re getting Mecha themed armor sets; the Mecha set won against the Monster set from the last fan voting competition back in spring.
The Mecha armor set is unfortunately paid content that costs 1,500 Silver (Destiny 2’s premium currency), which roughly costs $15, or 6,000 Bright Dust. The Festival remains largely unchanged from last year’s event. Eva Levante asks Guardians to wear some goofy masks while completing Haunted Sectors, and the usual content, to gather up both Candy and Spectral Pages to complete their event cards.

The new armor sets are heavily inspired by Gundams and other popular mecha from animation, but to round it all out, a new Sniper Rifle was also made available, The Mechabre. The mecha themed sniper rifle leans very hard into the Gundam aesthetic and even has custom firing and reloading sounds to match its unique style. I just wish we had more weapons in this line to complete the ensemble.
The event will last three weeks and the main thing to do during the event would be to finish up the event card and to get the weapons that drop from the Haunted Lost Sectors. That would be the Mechabre, Jurassic Green, BrayTech Werewolf and Horror Story. These weapons can only be obtained within the three week event period, otherwise you’d have to wait until next year to get them. So go out there and get some candy, Guardian!

Destiny 2 is free-to-play on virtually all major platforms including PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
